I just signed up for the social network for Nine Inch Nails. Quite an interesting site, some parts aren't fully working yet but I had to mention something.

They have a just released feature called user classes. Think of them like the deviant types on DeviantArt which give you the ability to say what type of user you ware. The ones on nin.com however have options like "man trapped in a woman's body" "woman trapped in a man's body" "animal trapped in a human body" "furry" "/b/tard". Yes furries make the list.

Even better though in sexual orientation they have "Not gay, but know how to party" and yet again "Furry." We have made the list :P

So yeah, just a little tidbit of interesting furry infection into another world.

The weekend was interesting. Started it off by meeting up with [info]furisky for a very nice Japanese buffet. Talked about lots of geeky fun stuff till the place closed to switch between lunch and dinner.

Then I went up the PS...Figured out quickly that it sucked and ended up heading to [info]tarnac's apartment. Enjoyed that immensely but ended up crashing quite early that night. Then after a very good breakfast at a local diner to [info]tarnac. I took [info]keskitsune back to hir apartment and hung out there for the rest of the day. I just didn't want to go home. Got to talk some more to [info]stevefoxx, [info]ferrel, and [info]nicholasdamally who I don't get to do that enough with. I had lots of fun and enjoyed all of it.

Then I had to head back down south to sleep for the next day...but ended up not sleeping much as the toilet in my apartment backed up and nothing was working. The plunger was just making funny noises and splashing thing. I called maintanence people but they didn't show up till the next morning which sucked.

I was gonna go clean my apartment and such tonight but things just didn't work out that way...I also need to take care of a bunch of other things like my bank accounts tomorrow. Gotta use my lunch hour to run around and close a bank account mostly because the bank I'm transferring out of is never open when I need to actually do banking stuff.

IRC has been entertaining tonight at least which has been an up thing. I wish I got more done but motivation has been severally lacking for me recently.

Killing this post before I go emo

This weekend was long...very long. It all started Thursday morning. I headed back to my parents place for the first time since I had officially moved out. They wanted me for the official thanksgiving celebrations. So I ate some food, some pie, and then spent the night there. Nothing really eventful happened there.

From there, I woke up far too early that morning in a vain attempt to get a Wii. [info]raithiel only got one because he got to Gamestop at 1am and waited there till morning. I tried to get there at 6:30 and failed miserably. From there I bought some books at Borders, and then headed to get the car my parents gave me into my name.

After returning home to sign over pink slips, I headed west from Riverside to Orange. In Orange, we had a little shindig with [info]tarnac, [info]stevefoxx, [info]keskitsune, [info]nicholasdamally, and [info]ferrel. It was fun just lying over various people and cushions watching people play video games, especially ones with really fast cars made out of ones that shouldn't really be that fast. Spent the night there as well. Left the next evening from there to San Gabriel.

There I met a few friends from college [info]blubear and [info]rosaferreum who I really hadn't seen since I left from Riverside either. So I spent the night at their place, watched [info]rosaferreum play Okami, LONGEST INTRO EVAR!, and played a little but of Guitar Hero 2 with [info]blubear. Next morning watched some reviews from GameTrailers that were really funny. And then from there proceeded to head back down to San Diego.

2 hours of driving later, I was back in beautiful San Diego. Decided to instead of heading straight home might a quick side stop over to Best Buy to look for a replacement radio for my car because I figured out very quickly, radio SUCKS!. Found some pretty cheap ones and it looks like I can get everything I want for under $200 and have Best Buy install it for me.

Now, I got home and since [info]raithiel who is currently my roommate, has a Wii with Twilight Princess in it, I came home and proceeded to play that for a few hours. I got pretty far already after exactly 4 hours of play.

I think I'm going to go back to poking at the Wii, pop in Wii Sports and try that out and relax after this super long weekend.

Well, today I figured out that the long attempt for getting a weekend off got blown away again. So tonight I'm heading up to the Prancing Skiltaire at some point, hanging out there for a few hours, coming back down tonight and then heading off sometime Sunday afternoon for a party my work is having. Next weekend looks like it was just booked up with a trip to Sea World on sunday with the [info]shitfuckery crew. The next weekend is Thanksgiving which is a still being quite difficult because a number of different people want me. My parents the most. (Look, I'm being stereotypical LJ user hating on the parents :P). The weekend after that is a Barenaked Ladies concert, and then finally after all that is a company christmas party which puts me right into the next Prancing Skilitare. So yeah, this entire next 4 weeks have just been entirely booked yet again...

Not that I'm complaining about it. I love hanging out with people. I just have a couple other projects I need to be working on. Now I'll get all [info]brad like and start listing the status of various projects I have.

FurAffinity: Ferrox rewrite: I have the VMWare virtual machine 99.9% done and ready for use by the developers. I just need to set up a public access subversion repository and a Trac as well.

ComicPy: My comic publishing software that needs a much better name (Suggestions?). I've got the core refactored out to use Genshi as well as made the code more general so you just toss it a directory of templates and it just works. Now to just create some default templates for testing.

BrightContent: What should be my new public blogging software soon. I need to rework it to use Setuptools entrypoints rather than hardcoded library paths. Also need to get my server to run the code and not break on every third reload.

There, the first eljay post of my new old journal
